The NSW Innovation and Productivity Council (the Council), Investment NSW and University of Technology Sydney (UTS) invite you to the 2024 Entrepreneurship Industry-Educator Forum and launch of the Council's latest report, Accelerating NSW: Insights from startups and startup support organisations.

The new Accelerating NSW report presents an analysis of data focused on coworking spaces, accelerators, incubators, and startup hubs (CAISH entities) from the 2023 Startup Muster survey of the Australian startup ecosystem.

The Forum is part of the Australian Centre for Entrepreneurship Research Exchange (ACERE) Conference - the leading entrepreneurship research conference in Australia - and focuses on the role of entrepreneurship support organisations in creating inclusive entrepreneurship ecosystems. Attendees will include policymakers, entrepreneurs, entrepreneurship support organisations (CAISH entities) and entrepreneurship educators.

Katie Knight, Deputy Secretary Investment NSW and Council Executive Member, will provide opening remarks.

Kate Russell, CEO Supply Nation, will deliver a keynote reflecting on challenges faced by Indigenous entrepreneurs, insights on successes, and what can change to support Indigenous entrepreneurs better.

Richard Kimber, Council Member and Chair of Stone & Chalk, will provide an address on the new Council report, Accelerating NSW: Insights from startups and startup support organisations and the Council's next phase of research.

Dr Jarrod Ormiston, Senior Lecturer at the TD School, UTS, and lead researcher for the Accelerating NSW report, will lead an interactive session on the report recommendations and what attendees can add to the community.

Following morning tea, break out sessions will drill into key issues including inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystems, social/sustainable enterprise and research commercialisation. After lunch, there will be a plenary session featuring closing action conversations and policy directions to move the ecosystem forward.
