Service NSW for Business stall at Fairfield Food Forum

Small business owners across NSW are being invited to have their say to help design the successor to Business Connect, as part of a comprehensive 90-day review into the needs and priorities of small businesses.

The review aims to ensure the new service is fit for purpose, accessible and responsive to the modern challenges facing the state’s more than 890,000 small businesses.

Mark Bouris AM has agreed to lead the review, supported by the Service NSW Business Bureau. Together, they will gather direct feedback from the business community to inform the design and delivery of the new advisory service.

This will include how small businesses access the new advisory service, the type of supports available and key business focus areas.

The review will examine the core foundational and specialist skills needed by small business owners, the common challenges small businesses face and key industries requiring additional support.

Building on the former Business Connect, the new advisory service will add to the existing support provided by the Service NSW Business Bureau.

In addition to small business owners, the review will seek feedback from peak bodies, local councils, business chambers and other NSW Government agencies.

The review will be presented to the NSW Government in May 2026.
